Diagnose Complex HVAC Problems and Deliver Lasting Solutions.
MR. AIR NYC is a specialized HVAC company serving New York City's high-value residential properties, including Brownstones, townhomes, historic homes, and custom retrofit projects. We are known for combining HVAC expertise, building science, clean installation practices, and a premium client experience. Our work goes beyond swapping equipment -- we diagnose the way homes actually perform.
We are hiring an HVAC Service & Diagnostic Repair Technician to join our field service team. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving complex problems, and working in homes where quality, professionalism, and clear communication matter.
You will diagnose and repair ductless mini-split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, central systems, and related mechanical/electrical components. The right person understands that great service is not just fixing a unit -- it is identifying the root cause, documenting the work clearly, and helping homeowners understand the value of the solution.

- Troubleshoot electrical components, inverter boards, controls, wiring, refrigerant issues, airflow problems, and system performance concerns

- Use diagnostic tools to test circuits, pressure, temperature splits, static pressure, amp draws, and system efficiency
- Document before-and-after service measurements through company systems and applications
- Communicate clearly with homeowners in a professional, respectful, and customer-focused way
- Identify recurring issues that may be caused by installation, sizing, airflow, or building envelope problems
- Work safely in historic NYC homes, tight mechanical spaces, ladders, rooftops, and finished interiors
- Maintain a clean work area and protect client property during every visit
- Follow company processes, service standards, and proper repair procedures without shortcuts
